This year's Paraiso Miami Beach is over for 2020.

But the organization recently shared the top trends for swimsuits as seen as this year's runway shows.

Based on a report from WGSN, a trend forecasting company, Paraiso said women should be looking for several details in swimwear that were first seen in the August shows as a preview of what's coming next summer.

"Sparkle and shine" will be one trend that women should seek out for next summer, said Paraiso.

The ever present animal print also will be popular in swimwear, said Paraiso. But don't look for your grandmother's faux leopard skin. Neon and bright colors will be switching things up to take the prints into color burst territory, according to what designers were showing on this year's runways.

Look for clashing colors and prints next year in your swimwear, said Paraiso.

Staple stripes will be popular. And floral prints add a retro look to swimwear, said Paraiso.

In terms of swimsuit shapes, Paraiso said bandeau tops will be hot in 2021. Designers this season used bandeaus to play around with prints, florals, bold neons and different textures.

Asymmetry is another trend, said Paraiso. Also, women should be looking for "sexy strapping," which will give swimwear "renewed appeal."

Paraiso said designers this season also got crafty with hand-made embellishments on their swimwear. Crochet and macramé techniques gave designers a chance to put their imaginations to the test.

Also, Paraiso said, look for "volume sleeves." Paraiso said, "They brought elegance in a bold, conspicuous manner."

Finally, across the board, no matter the fashion trend, Paraiso said, "Environmental consciousness is a must. We are looking to make our closets last longer and have a more sustainable sourcing process."
