EVERY ICONIC NEW YORK FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2020 RUNWAY MOMENT FROM DAY 1-3 YOU MUST SEE

The sun has begun to set earlier and the nights are beginning to grow cooler. Designers and influencers from all over are gathering in New York which can only mean one thing, New York Fashion Week is here! This Fall/Winter we are expecting trends from light and airy fabrics that blow in the cool Autumn breeze and don’t put away those bright colors just yet because they are moving into the next season, click here to see all the shows that inspired these trends for Fall/Winter 2019. 

Although Autumn/Winter is just approaching us, the next question becomes, what should we expect for Spring/Summer 2020? Well, wonder no more because New York Fashion Week is here to provide us with all the answers! Within a few days of Fashion Week we’ve seen perfectly tailored power suits like those from Taoray Wang, a piece that every woman must own, pops of colors from rainbows to marigold with chic bold textures and prints of which we found in shows from Christian Siriano and Tadashi Shoji. 

Here are some of my favorite moments from the first few days of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020:

Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano’s inspiration was said to be from Modern Pop artists, Ashley Longshore and Jeff Koons. Their use of playful, bright and bold lines inspires unexpected textiles with a hint of surrealism for evening wear that is modern and elegant.

 

Tadashi Shoji

 Tadashi Shoji’s inspiration was “Once upon a time in Japan”. Incorporating elements from his Japanese culture and infusing them with a modern elegance.

 

Taoray Wang

Tao’s inspiration was from Sidonie- Gabrielle Colette, a French novelist and powerful woman whose values fit perfectly with the aesthetic of Tao Wang’s signature, the womens suit that exudes power. 

 

 

 

 

 

Raisa Vanessa

Raisa Vanessa’s inspiration comes from a dance genre that prevailed Brazil in the late 1980’s. The runway filled with chic patterns and textured fabrics.
